Trading Faces Film School & Casting Agency

Are you between six and 17 years? Would you like to act in a film? If that’s a yes, then this is the course for you.

Using cameras, and scripts, students perform to camera, making their own films. These shorts will then be entered into film festivals. Love at First Sight was the winner of Galway Junior Film Fleadh in 2012 while Words came second place in Fresh Film Festival in 2013.

This course offers participants the opportunity to experience the business of acting on film both in front of and behind the camera. Check out all Previous short films on www.tradingfaces.ie

Ever wondered how auditions work? This programme tackles auditions in a fun way with lots improvisations and acting exercises. You’ll also get to meet Gillian Reynolds, the renowned casting director. Lots of fun! Students always rave about it.

The casting agency has been hugely successful over the last 15 years, placing young performers in many television shows, feature films, animation movies, and commercials. Moone Boy (Sky ), Deception (TV3 ), Jack Taylor (RTE ), My Phone Genie (BBC ), Late Late Show (RTE ), Secret of Kells (cinema – Oscar nomination ), Ugly Duckling and Me (cinema ), Niko and the way to the Stars (cinema ), Chloe’s Closet (BBC ), Pillowman, Ballyturk, Brigit, DruidMurphy.

The agency photo shoot will take place during the course.
