Summer courses for adults and secondary school students at the French Institute

Would you like to make the most of the long summer days while learning, refreshing, or practising your French?

The French Institute is running summer courses again this year starting on May 16. There are courses for adults at all levels, from beginners to advanced, and a choice of morning or evening classes. The courses last six weeks, for two hours a week. They will end on the last week in June, just in time if you are planning a well deserved, enjoyable, summer holiday in France.

For secondary school students who wish to catch up, revise, or get a head start in their preparation for their Junior and Leaving Cert, there will be one-week long intensive courses in June and August. The French Institute has built an excellent reputation for providing courses for secondary school students thanks to the dedication of its teachers who are all qualified native French teachers with years of experience in the Irish education system.

Last but not least, for teenagers wishing to benefit from immersing themselves in the French language and culture, the institute offers homestay programmes in June and July in the beautiful town of La Rochelle on France's western coast. These include specially-tailored French classes in the mornings, sport and cultural activities in the afternoons, and full immersion in French family life, within carefully selected families. It also organises traditional exchanges, which are flexible in terms of dates and duration.
