All Ireland titles for Galway fighters

Two fighters from the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club were in action in Dungarvan on Saturday night and won All Ireland titles in two different rule sets.

Adam Keane from Tuam, who won the senior national kickboxing title at 69.5kg last March, but lost it on a close points decision in September, regained the title with an impressive victory over Ulster Champ Paul Kelly from Cookstown in a five round war that went the full distance.

Cian Mc Cormack from Kinvara, who won gold in the Unified World Championships last October in Benidorm, gave a masterclass performance over MMA fighter Josh Loverage from Bray, Co Wicklow, to take the Junior All Ireland K-1 rules crown in a battle that also went the full five rounds.

Corey O'Malley from Carnmore scored a draw with Dungarvan's Scott Lennon in a close-fought battle on the same card, and Jennifer Baranyai from Annaghdown took part in an exhibition bout with Dungarvan's Anna Damyzyn.
