Legendary céilí band to play Town Hall

THE Kilfenora Céilí Band, one of the oldest céilí bands in the world, and former Riverdance leads Michael Donnellan, Michael Gardiner, and Laura Minogue, will join forces for a show at the Town Hall Theatre.

The show, featuring high-spirited traditional music; energetic, athletic dancing; melodious song with Edel Vaughan; and storytelling from guest artists, takes place on Saturday April 30 at 8pm.

The Kilfenora Céilí Band is John Lynch (banjo, mandolin ), Claire Griffin (accordion ), Tim Collins (concertina ), Gary Shannon (flute, whistle ), Anthony Quigney (flute, whistle, piano ), AnneMarie McCormack and Anne Rynne (fiddles ), Sinéad Heagney (fiddle/viola ), Eimear Howley (fiddle/banjo ), Fintan McMahon (piano ), Sean Griffin (drums ), Brian O’Grady (double bass ), and Sharon Howley (cello ). They have played Glastonbury and New York’s Lincoln Center.
