"I'M 21 today, 21 today! I've got the key of the door, never been 21 before, and Pa says I can do as I like, so shout, 'Hip Hip Hooray!'" goes the old music hall classic and one The Nualas could sing on their current tour.
The Nualas - Susan Collins, Anne Gildea, and Maria Tecce - described by Metro Scotland as having "staggeringly impressive three-part harmonies and a savage, biting wit", are coming to the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday May 7 at 8pm as part of their The Glitterbomb Tour, marking the comedy/musical group's 21st birthday.
The show will feature new songs, old favourites, red hot new chat, and blistering new shoes. Described as a cross between Little Mix, The Nolans, and The Blind Boys of Alabama, The Nualas have, across 21 years, played extended seasons in London, Dublin, and New York, written and recorded several series for BBC Radio 4, appeared at the Royal Albert Hall, split up, reformed, and saw The Scotsman call their comedy "genius" and name them as one of the Top 5 comedy shows of the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As The Irish Times said, "they’re funny. Simple as." Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
