Consultant Urogynaecologist Dr Mary Pat Fitzgerald will speak at a special BPW Galway Women’s Health event on Monday next April 11 at 8pm in the Ardiluan Hotel.
Dr Fitzgerald is a Consultant Urogynaecologist in private practice based at the Bon Secours Hospital in Galway. She is a graduate of NUIG and completed most of her postgraduate training in the USA, returning to her native Galway in September 2015.
The event is organised by BPW member and Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Aoife Ni Eochaidh who said Dr Fitzgerald will talk about gynaecological changes in midlife and discuss menopause, continence and will talk about any other queries ladies may have on the night.
“I would advise ladies to think of and write down those questions they may have and, to quote Dr Pixie, ‘there’s no shame we’re all the same when it comes to women’s health.’’
Dr Fitzgerald who was Professor at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, has a special interest in surgical management of female pelvic floor disorders and will bring a wealth of insight and information on women’s health for attendees on the night.
Admission to the event is free to BPW members and €5 for non members.
