TOMORROW MARKS the 50th anniversary of the death of Flann O’Brien, a major figure in 20th century Irish literature and postmodern writing, and his life and work will be celebrated in Galway.
To mark the date, a 'Flann-Fest' will be held in the Galway Rowing Club, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, with theatre performance of excerpts from The Third Policeman and music by prog/folk/indie band My Fellow Sponges and blues guitar and drums duo The Mountain Man Band. Expect all kinds of bicycle-based madness and mayhem, and watch for the specially-designed chill-out zone at front of the stage.
Admission is €10/8. All are welcome. For more information see Facebook.
