Opera singer to perform at Monroe's

Amanda Neri to perform at charity concert in Dominick Street venue

THE OPERA singer Amanda Neri will be among those performing a charity concert for COPE Galway and Icefight Brisbane in Monroe’s Side Bar on Sunday April 3 from 2.30pm.

Amanda has shared the stage with many leading soloists including Colm Wilkinson, the Irish tenor best known for his role as Jean Valjean in Les Miserable, and accordionist Liam O’Connor. She has performed for presidents, aristocracy and corporate leaders and holds the record for performing before more ambassadors than any other Irish classical artist.

She will be joined by Bernard Mac, David Lydon, Pete and Trisha Duffy and Louise O'Sullivan. There will be raffles and giveaways at the event which represents the first ever joint benefit gig between an Irish and an Australian charity. COPE provides services for the homeless, the elderly, and survivors of domestic violence. Ice Fight Brisbane is an initiative in response to the widespread use of the deadly drug methamphetamine (crystal meth or ice ) in Australia.

Tickets are €10 on the door. Children under 14 go in free. For more information see Facebook/copegalwayandicefightbrisbanebenefitgig.
