TRACY BRUEN, the Galway singer-songwriter and Galway Advertiser Solo Artist of the Year 2015, will headline Dubhsexy, the next Steve Sharpe curated night in the Róisín Dubh, on Thursday March 31 at 9pm.
Tracy's music combines folk, prog, pop, and indie, with a theatrical side. She will be joined by her band, playing a combination of piano, guitars, ukulele, flute, drums, double bass, fiddle, banjo, vocal harmonies and stories. She and the band have played Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, Westport Festival, and Sunflower Fest. Tracy's debut EP, Play Outside The Lines, released to critical acclaim last year, is streamed below:
Also playing is Galway based, Italian singer-songwriter Giulio B, who performs under the name Jake Hoddkins. Starting off busking in Dublin, he came to Galway after the release of his EP 5AM.
The show opens with the debut perfromance of I Am The Crane, the solo songwriting project of The Hardcore Priests of Yemen frontman Waldo Pancake. Expect downbeat melodious rhythms and lyrical contemplations.
