Coole Park Visitor Centre re-opens after floods

Good news for Coole Park lovers is that the Coole Park Visitor Centre is now open again after the winter floods — opening hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Last entry to Visitor Centre is at 4.45pm. and the park gates close at 6pm.

There is free admission to the 30 minute audio-visual presentation, ‘Lady Gregory of Coole’ a history of Coole Park and the self-guided multi-media walk-through exhibition, Coole Park through the eyes of ‘Me and Nu’ Granddaughters of Lady Gregory.

A free guided walk looking at the Irish Literary Revival in connection with the Easter Rising and Lady Gregory’s changing attitude to the events of 1916 will take place on Easter Monday starting at 2.30pm from the Visitor Centre. The walk will last approximately an hour and a half.
