Galway entrepreneur uses Kickstarter to help her own brand zip along

Galway-led business ‘Zip-Lines Ireland’ has taken to Kickstarter to give its business a boost into the direction of manufacturing. Zip-Lines Ireland which is run by Galway-based entrepreneur Jade Goodfellow is looking for funding to invest in the business to get its own branded Garden Zip-Lines up and running.

It currently sell other brands on their website ziplines.ie and feel that adding their own brand would be a huge step in the right direction for the business.

Mrs Goodfellow who has a background in fashion and costume, is a naturally creative type, so it was only a matter of time before she wanted to put her own mark on the products.

The brand which is due to launch this Summer - pending the successful funding of the campaign will feature a “Superb quality domestic zip-line with style and functionality. These lines hold up to 250lbs so can be used by the whole family”. They also come in a variety of lengths to suit all garden types. “Forget about the trampoline! Zip-Lining’s where it’s at,” she says.

Ms Goodfellow says the overall aim of the business is to ‘Get children outside and active’, tackling obesity, vitamin D deficiencies, short-sightedness and Improving social skills.

With a growing customer base and a proven track record with her customers, Jade doesn’t see a problem selling the zip-lines.

Zip-Lines Ireland also stock balance toys like the Slackline, Balance Blox and Bucket Stilts, all activity products that promote physical play and Ms Goodfellow is planning on adding more products to the range and hope to use Irish suppliers as much as possible.
