THE NOVELS of Roald Dahl, and the magnificent accompanying illustrations by Quentin Blake, are among the jewels in the crown of children's literature, and they have inspired a wonderful new exhibition.
An exhibition of handmade books, bags, and cushions, inspired by Dahl's stories, and featuring Blacke's illustrations, by Galway designer Lisa Stack, is currently running in the Galway City Library. Lisa has been making the bookbags and cushions for the last couple of years and has been successfully selling them at local craft fairs.
The exhibition runs throughout March.
