The Connacht Hotel on the Dublin Road, Renmore, is inviting Galwegians to join them tomorrow for their annual fundraising event for Daffodil Day from 10am to 12 noon.
The hotel hasheld this coffee morning for the past number of years to help raise much-needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society, which helps fight the disease in Ireland.
People are invited to call by, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat and make a donation towards the charity. The hotel will also be selling the vrecognisable daffodil pins from reception so those who do not have time to stay for coffee, can purchase their pin at the hotel to show support for this national event.
On daffodil day thousands of volunteers around Ireland sell daffodil pins and flowers, on streets, in businesses, homes and shopping centres, to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society’s free nationwide service for those with, and affected by cancer in Ireland. Daffodil is the biggest and longest running fundraising day for Ireland's national cancer charity.
Daffodil Day coffee mornings are one of many fundraising events that The Connacht Hotel host throughout the year with the aim of raising money to assist the provision of services that charities offer to people around Ireland.
