Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering

THE POETS Liz Quirke, and Rachel Coventry, novelist Brian Kirk, and contributors to the alternative literature website, The Bogman’s Cannon, will read at the Over The Edge Writers Gathering, The Kitchen Café, Galway City Museum, on Friday, March 11 at 8pm.

Kerry born, Connemara based, Liz Quirke is the winner of the 2015 Poems for Patience Competition. Her poems have been published in The Irish Times, Crannóg, and The Best New British And Irish Poets 2016 anthology. Galway's Rachel Coventry has had her poems published in The SHop, Stony Thursday Book, Crannóg, and Skylight 47.

Brian Kirk is an award-wining poet and short story writer from Dublin. He won the 2014 Jonathan Swift Creative Writing Award for Poetry, the Bailieborough Poetry Prize 2015, and The Creative Flow Poet of the Year Award 2015. His poetry and stories have appeared in journals and anthologies internationally. He is also author of the novel, The Rising Son.

The Bogman's Cannon contributors are poet Annemarie Ní Churreáin; poet and fiction writer Karl Parkinson; and poet and fiction writer Dave Lordan, founding editor of The Bogman’s Cannon.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
