French political comedy for Town Hall

Galway Film Society to screen Quai d'Orsay

IN THE aftermath of our election, comes a chance to see politics in another country, albeit one of a comedic kind when the award winning film Quai d'Orsay, will be screened by the Galway Film Society.

The film, a cross between Yes, Minister and The West Wing, which won Best Screenplay at the 2013 San Sebastian Film Festival, will be screened on Sunday March 6 at 8pm in the Town Hall Theatre. Arthur (Raphaël Personnaz ) is hired as a speechwriter for French foreign minister Alexandre Taillard de Worms (Thierry Lhermitte ). As Arthur learns how to handle his unpredictable boss and shield him from daily disasters, the threat of an international war looms, raising the stakes even higher.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
