Local Enterprise Office (LEO ) Galway has announced a series of exciting initiatives aimed at stimulating business activity throughout Galway city and county. The ultimate aim being to create jobs among small businesses and also to encourage those with a business idea to pursue their dream.
Breda Fox, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Galway welcomed the new initiative, saying there are plenty of business opportunities out there, but you have to go out and find them.
“We want to help small businesses to identify opportunities for growth.
“Equally important, anyone with a viable plan for a new business needs to be encouraged to pursue their dream. Local Enterprise Week allows us to connect with new audiences and potential clients and let them know what supports are there for them,” she added.
“Local Enterprise Week initiative is an opportunity to showcase supports that are available through the Local Enterprise network to help local businesses stimulate job creation locally and throughout the country”. Galway events form part of the National Local Enterprise week initiative in Local Enterprise offices countrywide. The Galway events focus on some new initiatives to support local business in Retail, Fashion, Food and IT and over 30 events will be held in the County and City throughout the week,” she concluded.
The LEO will hold a briefing on a new initiative on the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN ) (on Wednesday 9th from 10am-12pm ) which is being rolled out through the LEO in Galway to help support small businesses. The EEN helps Irish businesses innovate and grow internationally.
