THE SHORT story writer and poet Susan Millar DuMars will host an advanced fiction writing class on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm, starting March 31, and running for eight weeks.
The class is for those "serious about writing short or long fiction". Participants will receive individual attention and detailed feedback. Susan is the author of the poetry collections Big Pink Umbrella (2008 ), Dreams for Breakfast (2010 ), and The God Thing (2013 ), as well as the short story collections, American Girls (2007 ) and Lights In The Distance (2010 ). Her next book of poems, Bone Fire will be launched at the 2016 Cúirt Festival of International Literature.
The cost is €140 in advance or at first class. There are no refunds. Only five places are available. Classes take place at 3 Carbry Road, Newcastle, close to NUI Galway.
