Maree Senior Men's Basketball continues to lead Basketball Ireland's first division after a comfortable 78-65 win over Fr Matthews in Cork.
Paulius Pedelzius hit a game-high 24 for the Galway side, with Kenneth Hansberry and Padraic Burke adding 13 and 11 points respectively.
The Cork outfit had put up a big fight in the opening half and were only two points adrift (33-31 ), but the Oranmore-based team pulled away in the second half.
Maree now look to have wrapped up the title. Having lost just one of their 14 fixtures, they top the league with 39 points - six ahead of Kubs and Killorglin.
In other basketball news Galway Titans represented Ireland at the special KGB invitational International Tournament in Mulhouse in France. The Titans u13s took on the Pfastatt home town tournament favourites, in additition to Macedonian and Belgian opposition.
