Alright The Captain to headline FEAST

FEAST returns to Róisín Dubh for 2016

THE FEAST nights of metal, punk, and math-rock in the Róisín Dubh celebrat's its second anniversary with a show by the forward-thinking British post-rock trio Alright The Captain.

Alright the Captain are currently riding high on the back of 2015’s critically acclaimed album, Contact Fix. The Nottingham band's complex riffs, synth heft, and rhythmic power has established it as a sonic force to be reckoned with. They have also shared stages with post-rock royalty like Mono, 65daysofstatic, Tera Melos, ASIWYFA, Adebisi Shank, and This Will Destroy You. Musical Mathematics called them "weirdly cool...visceral and comical, light and dark; heavy and poppy".

Also on the bill is Steve Strong, a one man arsenal of beats, tapped guitar and lush, textural, melodies. His music is as skeletal as it is grandiose, as tight as it is loose. His ability to bridge the gap between technical ability and passion is instinctual, and his exploration of many styles never seems contrived. Support is from A Werewolf, who has been compared to Lighting Bolt. Check out the forthcoming EP Fun Times For Nice Guys.

The show takes place in the Róisín's upstairs bar on Thursday February 18 from 9pm. Admission is €5.
