Solo show from Augustines' William McCarthy

Indie songwriter to play Strrange Brew at Róisín Dubh

WILLIAM MCCARTHY, the charismatic frontman of Brooklyn indie band Augustines,' plays a solo show at Strange Brew in the Róisín Dubh on Thursday February 18 at 8pm.

Entitled Journals, Maps, Stories, and Songs, the show will see the Irish-American songwriter tell stories, sing songs, and read from his journals, in what promises to be an intimate look at his life and art. "These will be intimate shows, in small venues, where I'll share songs I've been writing over the last decade and a half," the artisty said.

This will be McCarthy's first solo tour, while the Augustines' latest album, their third, and which is self-titled, is out now on Caroline International. McCarthy's life story is also to be covered in the upcoming documentary, Rise.
