Eight candidates declare for hustings in Indreabhán

Eight of the declared candidates standing for election in the Galway West-South Mayo constituency have accepted an invitation from Cumann Forbartha Chois Fharraige to attend a public hustings next Monday, February 15 in Seanscoil Sailearna, Indreabhán.

The eight candidates expected take part in the hustings are: Éamonn Ó Cuív T.D. (Fianna Fáil ); Seán Kyne T.D. (Fine Gael ); Derek Nolan (Labour ); Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh (Sinn Féin ); Councillor Catherine Connolly (Independent ); Niall Ó Tuathail (Social Democrats ); John Connolly (Fianna Fáil ) and Ruairí Ó Néill (Direct Democracy Ireland ).

All declared candidates were invited. Outgoing Deputies Noel Grealish T.D. (Independent ) and John O’Mahony (Fine Gael ) sent their apologies, citing other engagements.

Gormfhlaith Ní Thuairisg of Raidió na Gaeltachta, will chair the meeting which will kick off at 8.00pm with a short statement from each of the candidates before opening the meeting to questions from the audience.
