STRAIGHT UP melodic country-rock, with a twist of folk, and a dash of Americana is what Galway can expect when award winning Scottish singer-songwriter Colin Clyne plays Monroe's Live on Wednesday February 24.
A two-time winner of The Best Acoustic Act at the prestigious San Diego Music Awards, Colin saw his 2014 album, The Never Ending Pageant, produced by Grammy Award winning engineer, Alan Sanderson, reach No 6 on the iTunes Country album charts, while the song, 'Top of the Mountain' was a finalist in the 2014 UK Songwriting Contest.
Scottish TV hailed Colin as a "...rising star of Scotland..." while The Sun has compared him to Ryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen. Doors are at 8.30pm. Tickets are €5. See www.monroes.ie
