Hurlers well beaten by Dublin in Walsh Cup

The Galway hurlers went out of the Bord na Móna Walsh Cup, losing to Dublin by 1-28 to 1-19 in Parnell Park on Sunday.

There was little between the sides in the first half and they were tied 0-12 to 1-09 at half time with David Burke scoring Galway’s only goal.

However Dublin piled on the pressure, running out comfortable winners by nine points.

Micheál Donoghue’s men will not be in competitive action again until February 14 when they face Cork in Pearse Stadium in the first round of the NHL.
