MUSIC FOR Martin, a concert of choral music in aid of Galway Hospice, takes place in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, on Saturday February 6 at 8pm.
The concert is in memory of long-time Cois Cladaigh member, Martin Smith, who lost his battle with cancer a year ago. He spent his final days in the Galway Hospice. Cois Cladaigh will perform some of Martin’s favourite music, along with a selection of Renaissance and contemporary music, including Erik Ešenvalds’ 'O Salutaris Hostia'.
The sculptor John Coll, a former Cois Cladaigh member, has donated one of his works for which raffle tickets will be available on the night. Tickets are €15/10 on the door. All proceeds go to Galway Hospice.
