Mongrel State return to Monroe’s Live

ROCKABILLY, ROCK, Latin-American grooves, vocal harmonies, and cinematic western scores are combined in the sound of Dublin quartet Mongrel State, who play Monroe’s Live on Friday February 19 at 9pm.

The band are Italy's Claudio Mercante (guitar/vocals ), Ireland's Darren Flynn (bass/vocals ), Argentina's Sebastian Jezzi (percussion/vocals ), and Spain's Guillermo González Rodríguez (piano/vocals ).

Starting in 2010 as Moo, the band have been gigging for the last five years, eventually changing their name last year, to reflect their sound, which draws upon a wide variety of genres and cultures. As Moo they released the albums Wanted (2011 ) and Tall Tales (2013 ). Their first album as Mongrel State, Mestizo, is releaesd this Saturday. It is produced by Gavin Glass.
