JOHNNY CANDON, one of the godfathers of Irish comedy, and one of the nation's sought after and experienced stand-ups, who has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News and Mock The Week, is coming to Galway.
Johnny headlines the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh tomorrow at 8.30pm. He plays at all the major comedy venues including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store in Britain, and tours the Middle East, Australia, and China, delighting audiences with his easy style and engaging presence. He has also shared the stage with Ricky Gervais and Neil Delamere. He has performed on BBC Comedy presents… and was a founding member of the critically acclaimed Robin Ince’s Book Club, performing with Russell Brand and Stewart Lee.
Also appearing is Donal Vaughan, the winner of the 2015 Laughing Horse Comedian of the Year and 2014 Tedfest Toilet Duck Award. Entertainment.ie said of the Dubliner, "his sharp, punchy lines that never failed to hit home”. Support is from Offaly comedian John Sheehan, an offbeat storyteller with a charming wit. The MC is Steve Bennett.
