117 companies from the Irish fishing industry will exhibit at at Skipper Expo Int at the Galway Bay Hotel on 4 and 5 March.
Stand space for the popular expo sold out in record time and there will be over 20 first time exhibitors at the show, ensuring plenty to interest visitors. Exhibiting companies hail from 12 different countries – Ireland, Northern Ireland, Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, France, Holland, Iceland, Poland, Scotland, Spain and the USA.
Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said: “The demand for stands has been phenomenal and we have pulled out all the stops to accommodate the requirements of exhibitors, including making extra space available.”
Another star attraction will be the Outside Boatmart, which will feature a display of vessels and marine engines, as well as the Coastguard Unit and BIM Coastal Training Unit. There is still some exhibiting space available here for any companies wishing to showcase a vessel to the industry.
Also certain to prove popular will be the pool demonstrations – a unique element of the Galway expo. Led by the RNLI with assistance from BIM, various floatation devices from exhibiting companies will be demonstrated in the pool.
Exhibitors will cover virtually every area of the fishing industry equipment and services sector. Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2016 will be held on 4 and 5 March at the Galway Bay Hotel, Galway.
