SEAN KEANE and his brothers, known as both The Keane Brothers and Citizens Keane, give their annual New Year concerts at the Claregalway Hotel on Friday January 1 and Saturday 2 2016.
Matt, Sean, Noel, and Pat from Caherlistrane, will be joined by Orlaith Keane, performing songs from her album, The Home Place; as well as Pat Coyne (guitars/backing vocals ), Colm Naughton (banjo/mandolin/guitar/backing vocals ), Maria Fahy (fiddle ), and Peter Gannon (keyboards ).
Also on the bill are The Hernon Family from Carna, featuring renowned flute player, composer, performer, and flute maker Marcus Hernon. He will be joined by his sons Breandán and Proinsias, a winner of numerous Oireachtas sean-nós dancing competitions. Pianist Labhrás Hernon will also perform.
The MC will be Michael Commins of Mid West Radio. Doors open at 8pm with the concerts starting at 9pm. Tickets are €25 from the Claregalway Hotel (091 - 738300 ) and Quinn’s Shop, Bishop Street, Tuam (093 - 26060 ).
