Their 10th studio album Suas Síos was released to critical acclaim last year; this year Kíla collaborated with French composer Bruno Coulais for the soundtrack to the animated feature film Song Of The Sea, made by Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon.

More recently, the music Kíla wrote for the documentary The Secret Life Of The River Shannon was nominated for an Emmy. Band leader Rónán Ó Snodaigh wrote much of the score and the remainder was picked up by the group themselves. The music also won the Best Music Award at Berlin’s Green Screen Festival.
