I AM SOLD Property Auctions, which operates The Connacht Property Auction, The Munster Property Auction, and The Leinster Property Auction, has announced the appointment of Claire Moran as regional sales manager for the Connacht region.
The company works in partnership with some 140 auctioneers across Ireland and Ms Moran has been promoted to the new managerial position due to the company's significant growth and expansion.
Ms Moran joined the company as an auction consultant, working on sales for the Connacht region, but after a hugely successful year of auctions and further growth in company sales, she is now taking up the position of sales manager.
Since graduating from Limerick Institute of Technology with a first class honours degree in real estate, Ms Moran has gained more than eight years’ experience, and has worked as a property surveyor both in Ireland and overseas.
She began her career with Property Partners Long, Tuam, working in both residential and commercial agency and valuations. After a successful period in Tuam, she went on to work with Tuohy O’Toole, Mayo, where she spent two years covering residential and commercial agency in the Westport office. Ms Moran also worked in Melbourne, Australia, with a major Australian realtor which gave her insight into a faster-paced property market.
Having joined The Connacht Property Auction team, she grew the business and expanded the partner agent network in the region and contributed significantly to increasing sales in 2015 by more than 30 per cent.
Ms Moran says the company's partner agent network has also grown significantly with 140 partner agents making it the largest property network in Ireland.
"In 2015, we also became the second largest auction company in Ireland with more than 250 sales.”
With five public auctions under its belt in 2015, the company plans to increase this to six public auctions in 2016, with the first taking place on February 4, 2016.
“In 2015, our public auction events sold more than 240 properties across Ireland and our average sold ratio for the year is 90 per cent, which is the highest success rate of any auction company in Ireland. Our aim in 2016 is to continue to grow our business by achieving the best results for our clients. We will be keeping our policy of ‘no upfront costs’ for auction entry or marketing and with the improving market conditions we are confident of another successful year of auctions ahead.”
IAM SOLD is currently hiring qualified auctioneers and seeking to recruit 12 new staff members in the next 12 months. The company has launched a new recruitment campaign encouraging auctioneers who moved away during the downturn to return home to work.
