This innovative approach to getting to know the Social Democrat candidate for Galway-West & Mayo-South Niall Ó Tuathail and the posters will be able to ask Niall questions about his policies ahead of the general election.

Over the coming weeks Niall will be addressing the Social Democrats policies on issues such as the repeal of the Eighth amendment, educational equality, the A&E crisis and stamping out corruption in the delivery of public services and within the political establishment.

Mr Ó Tuathail says “We know that the young people of Galway and Mayo have stories to tell about why they left Ireland and what they think we could improve the country so they might consider returning.

“We have talked to many young people are they want a forum where they can engage with candidates and flesh out policies and ideas and submit their own ideas on how they can change Ireland.

“We know that many people emigrated in frustration and want to see a changes Ireland. Despite many claims to the contrary by the Government rural Ireland has still to feel the benefits of the recovery and we want to ensure that young people have the opportunity to have their say as they have no other forum to do so,” he concluded.
