Karl Spain's Róisín Dubh Comedy Xmas party

A CHRISTMAS Karl, the Róisín Dubh Comedy's Christmas party, hosted by Limerick comedian Karl Spain, is set to get the festive season off to an hilarious and uproarious start, this Sunday from 8pm.

Karl, who hosted the Late Night KARLnival at the Róisín, during the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, and whose improvisational ability is legendary, will present a night of great Irish comedians with Fred Cooke, Steve Bennett, and special guests who cannot be named. We can however give you a clue - they are a brilliant Irish sketch comedy trio who do not do stuff on the telly about football, so it is not Aprés Match, but they do have 'Hog' in their name.

Fred Cooke has gone from "the guy in the Spar ad to Republic Of Telly stalwart to Vicar Street sell-out act in the space of a few short years. Catch him entering the peak of his powers. Steve Bennett is one of the country's finest emerging comics. He is host of the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh, and is winner of both the 2014 Show Me The Funny competition and The UK Musical Comedy Awards Best Newcomer.

Tickets are €15/12.50 from The Ticket Desk at OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, Róisín Dubh, and roisindubh.net A limited number are online for €10.
