Bluebird Care Galway has once again been awarded the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008. Maintaining a stringent process of quality auditing over the last three years, Managing Director Sean Lyons described the award as “setting a new standard for homecare in Ireland.”
“This certification comes just weeks after we were honoured with one of the highest grade of the EIQA Quality mark. Our commitment to quality standards is now rubber-stamped by these internationally recognised bodies and we are delighted to be able to guarantee the highest quality of care and support to our customers.”
Bluebird Care Galway has been in business since 2008 and delivers homecare at home and in the community including care of older persons, people with physical and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, palliative care, dementia care, rehabilitation and re-enablement for those suffering illness.
They employ 140 people and due to continued expansion they are hoping to bring that number to 200 in the next 12 months, Bluebird Care Galway operate throughout Galway City and County.
Presenting Bluebird Care Galway with their certification, Declan O’Connor, CEO of BQAI, the registering body, says, “it is encouraging to see a homecare company meet such high standards and they have not only set the standard they are setting a great example to other providers in the marketplace.”
