Joe Higgins TD will address a public meeting organised by the Anti Austerity Alliance in the Westwood Hotel, Newcastle, tomorrow [Wednesday December 2] at 8pm.
The meeting, entitled Clear Out FG, Clear Out Labour. We need a Left Government To Take on the 1%, will focus on the prospects for a left-wing government to be formed after the 2016 General Election and what policies and principles such a government would require.
The meeting will also discuss the ongoing boycott of water charges that still sees more than 52 per cent of households refusing to pay, and what the next steps are to ensure that the charges are ultimately abolished. The Anti-Austerity Alliance's Galway West candidate Tommy Holohan will also be speaking. All are welcome to the meeting.
