Mark Little to address NUIG Law Society

Could Ireland ever produce a Barack Obama? Someone who can inspire hope, not only in his own country, but throughout the world?

This is the question RTÉ reporter, broadcaster, and author Mark Little will be discussing when he addressees NUI Galway’s Law Society in the university’s Cairnes Theatre on Wednesday February 11 at 8pm. The event is open to the public.

Mr Little served as RTÉ’s first Washington correspondent between 1995 and 2001, covering three US presidential election campaigns. He returned to Dublin to take up the post of RTÉ Foreign Affairs Correspondent before joining Prime Time in 2002. He was named TV Journalist of the Year in 2001 for his reporting from Afghanistan.

Mr Little is also the author of The New America, Turn Left at Greenland, and Zulu Time. He also wrote and presented the acclaimed documentary Who’s Afraid of Islam?
