Town Hall Theatre run for 9 Arch Musical Society

A GROUP of children in rural Louisiana, with little to do and not much to look forward to, befriend a criminal on the run, known only as 'The Man', but who the children come to think is Jesus Christ returned to earth.

Andrew Lloyd Weber and Jim Steinman's Whistle Down The Wind, the musical adaptation of the classic 1961 film, will be staged by the 9 Arch Musical Society in the Town Hall Theatre, from Thursday November 19 to Saturday 21, at 8pm, with a matinee on Saturday 21 at 2.30pm.

The Claregalway based society's 12th production, the leading roles will be taken by Louis Brennan (The Man ), Kate O’Mahoney (Swallow ), Sarah Hession (Candy ), Declan Gardiner (Amos ), and Michael Cooney (Boone ). There will be an adult chorus of more than 25, along with 44 children in the junior group, led by Sarah Maguire (who plays Brat ). The director is Peter Kennedy, the musical director is Shane Farrell, Declan Gardiner is choreographer, the assistant director is Karl O’Doherty.
