Free parking periods for TULCA festival

THE GALWAY City Council will provide a period of ‘grace’ from parking charges for visitors to TULCA Festival Gallery in the former Connacht Print Works, Market Street.

Throughout the festival, which runs up to and including Sunday November 29, the council will honour specially designed parking tickets, issued to visitors to the Festival Gallery - which will host work by the politically and socially engaged artist Seamus Nolan - for on-street pay-and-display parking for a period of two hours on the day of issue of the tickets.

“This is an important collaboration between the artist Seamus Nolan, Galway City Council, and TULCA Festival of Visual Arts in allowing for free parking for a period of two hours," said festival curator Mary Cremin. "It encourages and gives a period of reprise to people to take the time and view the exhibition without the stress of paid parking. It is an act of generosity, to give back to the public."
