MICK FOLEY comes to the Róisín Dubh next week to perform his one-man spoken word show, Tales From Wrestling Past. The Tuesday November 10 show is sold out, but tickets are still available for the Monday 9 performance.
Known as 'The Hardcore Legend' and Dude Love, Foley is a three-time WWE champion and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. He is also an actor, comedian, and author of five New York Times best-selling books.
Tales From Wrestling Past, which Foley describes as “like being in the ring, without getting hurt”, draws on his 28 years of working in wrestling and travelling around the world, and will hear the Indiana native discussing the loss of an ear, the 'dedication' of a porn-star working in a knee-brace, and a United States president reciting his wrestling catch-phrase. It will also feature his trademark blend of wit, wisdom, wildness, and warmth. The show has won critical acclaim, with leading comedy website Chortle.co.uk sayin Foley "is charm personified – eloquent, funny and self-effacing”.
Mick is at the Róisín Dubh on Monday November 9 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh. Each ticket includes an aftershow meet and greet, photo opportunity, and one signed item.
