Bluebird Care has won a Q Mark National Business Group of the Year award and Bluebird Care Galway was also a finalist in the Homecare Company of the Year category. Known as ‘the Oscars of business excellence’, The Q Mark Award is the highest accolade an Irish business can achieve, given both the intense competition and the exacting standards required.
Managing director of Bluebird Care in Galway, Sean Lyons, says this is further evidence of the top quality care provided by the company to people of all ages in their own homes and in the community. “Bluebird Care’s delivery of care is very much led by our clients. Person-centred care is what we do. We develop health and lifestyle plans that meet the specific needs of each and every individual and family that we work with. Being named the Q Mark Business Group of the Year for the second time in three years is testament to Bluebird Care’s ongoing and unfaltering commitment to quality standards in homecare in Ireland. As the first franchised homecare company to have all its offices Q Mark approved, we are absolutely thrilled with this award as are our 20 directors and 1,500 plus staff nationwide.”
Irene Collins, CEO Excellence Quality Ireland Association, says Bluebird Care is innovative in the way it manages its franchise operations. “They are the only homecare provider in Ireland to have all their franchisees assessed in compliance with the requirements of the Q Mark for Quality Management Systems. I am delighted to present them with these awards.”
