Nestors Supervalu group mental health awareness charity event raises €5000 for Jigsaw

Nestors Supervalu Oranmore held a charity event on Friday October 9 in aid of Jigsaw which saw cycling enthusiast Liam Coady, store manager Nestors Supervalu Oranmore, undertake a challenge to cycle 200km on his training bike in store, to raise funds for this worthy local charity.

Group Stores in Fr Griffin Rd and Ballybane also took part on the day by holding bag-packing, and a raffle for some fantastic prizes. Jigsaw is a free confidential and non judgemental service which supports the mental health and well-being of people (aged 15-25 ), based in Fairgreen Galway.

They provide guidance to parents, family members, or anyone concerned about a young person in their life or work. They have supported over 4000 young people since 2009. They also provide a number of Galway networks across Co Galway to support young people in their communities.

General Manager of Nestors Supervalu Group, George Osborne said that Nestors Supervalu were delighted for the opportunity to hold this charity event in aid of Jigsaw.
