Oranmore-Maree, under the guidance of John Reddington, secured a 3-8 to 1-9 win over St Michael’s in the county minor B football championship final on Sunday at Tuam stadium.
Oranmore-Maree were captained by midfielder Charlie Crowley, and they had solid displays from full-forward Cian Greaney and young Luke Smyth in the full-forward line with both players raising green flags.
St Michael’s did lead at one stage in the second half, but the concession of two second-half goals put paid to their chances of glory.
Goalkeeper Mark Walsh impressed and made some fine saves for St Michael’s, and both Brian Harlowe and James Kerr, who still have a few years left at this grade, caught the eye.
