THE GERMAN Youth Plucked String Orchestra, or Jugendzupforchester, are coming to Galway to perform work by Vivaldi, Bach, Greig, Kuwahara, Balkanski, Desmond, and Bremner.
The orchestra, who hail from the North Rhine-Westfalia region, will be in St Nicholas' Collegiate Church tomorrow at 8pm and all proceeds from the concert will go towards the St Nicholas Schola Cantorumchoir.
Members of the Jugendzupforchester have achieved national and international success in competitions. The orchestra has a huge interest in contemporary music but also includes music from the baroque, classical, and romantic periods in its repertoire.
Tickets are available at the door for €10 with concessions.
