The Original Rudeboys @ Monroe's Live

Over 14s show from Dublin trio

THE IRISH hip hop/acoustic/indie sensation, The Original Rudeboys will play a show for their teenage fans in Galway city with a special gig for over 14s at Monroe's Live on Sunday October 11 at 6pm.

The Original Rudeboys formed on a couch in Dublin in March 2011, their name inspired by a T-shirt bearing the legend 'The Original Rudeboys' that lead singer Robert Burch wore. Jokingly claiming the shirt to be part of the band's merchandise, the band adopted the phrase as their official name. After their song ‘Stars In My Eyes' became a YouTube hit, the trio decided to get serious about producing music. The song then reached No 2. A year later, their debut album This Life went to No 3 in Ireland. The 2014 follow-up, All We Are, went one better, peaking at No 2.

The trio have supported The Script across Europe and Australia and have been special guests to Kanye West and Pharrell, Professor Green, Example, Rizzle Kicks, and Cheryl Cole.

Support is from I’m Your Vinyl. Tickets €15/12, Family ticket (two adults, two children ) €40, available via www.monroes.ie Age 14+.
