The 'sublime' Old Hannah

Sligo folk band to play The Loft

OLD HANNAH have been called “a sublime band who straddle folk, country, roots, bluegrass, and more” by The Irish Times, while The Waterboy's Steve Wickam said their songs have "a great and unique intimacy and atmosphere".

Galway audiences will see for themselves when the Sligo quartet play The Loft, Seven, Bridge Street, on Friday October 9 at 10pm. Using lapsteel, banjo, mandolin, guitar, piano, and their beautifully arranged vocals, the band will play songs from their Irish Boys and Iron and Wood EPs - both of which have been playlisted on national radio. Old Hannah have played Electric Picnic, HWCH, Forbidden Fruit, Sligo Live, and Other Voices; performed on RTÉ and TG4; and supported Sheryl Crow, The Lone Bellow, and Simone Felice.

Tickets are €10 from www.sevenbridgestreet.ie or on the door.
