SsangYong is now offering a diesel version of the new Tivoli crossover, with prices starting at €21,495.
SsangYong Motors Ireland says the Tivoli, with an innovative design and state-of-the-art technology, offers amazing value-for-money.
Equipped with high-class safety specifications, the Tivoli diesel comes with a wide range of accessories that allow people to customise their SUV. Cruise control, air conditioning, keyless entry, central locking, fogs lamps and alloy wheels all come as standard.
SsangYong Motors Ireland managing director, Joe Harris, explains the importance of the diesel engine: “The Tivoli diesel is a good option for those who want a crossover between a car and an SUV, with an affordable road tax, an economic fuel consumption, with low CO2 emissions. It’s comfortable and affordable, perfect for long drives, but also very stylish and small enough to park in city centres.”
Inspired by Tivoli, the Italian town near Rome with a reputation for style, Tivoli is the pinnacle of the starting point that fully reflects the unique design identity of SsangYong Motors. Dynamic and robust, the new SUV embodies character lines that will be the dominant key design lines for both Tivoli and other SsangYong segments in the future.
Although SsangYong boasts 60 years of building SUVs, Joe Harris says the Tivoli's arrival marks an impressive breakthrough for the brand.
“After launching the petrol engine, this new Tivoli diesel represents another milestone for SsangYong Motors Ireland. Everyone was very impressed with the petrol version, and now, with the diesel engine, we are even more exited. We can finally offer our Irish customers different choices and options of a great crossover.”
SsangYong says that it is comfortable and easy to drive, the Tivoli diesel has high-class safety specifications, like the option of seven airbags, which give peace of mind to all different types of drivers. Its strong body structure incases multi-function ESP, active rollover protection, brake assist, Hill Start Assist and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal ), tire pressure monitoring system and a warning reminder for seat belts on all five seating positions.
For buyers needing practicality, SsangYong says the Tivoli diesel provides one of the largest cabins and boot volumes in its class, while also offering a generous number of storage spaces. Thanks to its smart steer system, fitted as standard, there are more choices with three different steering modes – normal, sport, and comfort.
The Tivoli is available as a 1.6 litre e-XDi160 diesel unit that offers strong performance, with low CO2 emissions. All manual transmission models will come with integrated stop start. A smart user interface, easy to use, comes as an option on the Tivoli, and it enhances the driver’s experience.
The Tivoli diesel comes with a good five year unlimited mileage warranty and five years road side assistance, at a starting price of €21,495.
In addition the Tivoli is available with a newly developed 1.6 litre e-XGI160 petrol engine. Both diesel and petrol engines can be combined with the choice of manual or automatic transmissions.
