Gorta Self Help Africa to hold third annual charity dinner

Tickets are now on sale for the annual Gorta Self Help Africa annual charity dinner, which will take place on Friday November 27 in the Galway Bay Hotel.

Proceeds from this event will be used to support Gorta Self Help Africa/Alan Kerins Projects programmes in 11 countries in Africa.

The evening will begin with a champagne reception at 7.30pm followed by a four course dinner. Tickets at €70, or a table of 10 costs €650. This smart casual event will feature Sean Slattery and the Connections playing classic hits from the sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties, promising to satisfy every musical taste and provide an evening of great music and dance. There will also be ample spot prizes on the night.

Gorta Self Help Africa and Alan Kerins Projects are currently working in 11 countries in Africa, providing much needed nutrition and food programmes, agriculture programmes, education, entrepreneurial skills, and water and sanitation facilities to many rural communities. Over the last 30 years of Self Help Africa, 50 years of Gorta, and 10 years of AKP, the groups have managed to do this while keeping administration costs exceptionally low.
