"PHILIPE CASSARD'S piano sound is rich in shades and colours, he has a light but firm touch and it seems his artistic personality is devoid of all extremes…the piano was virtually singing under his hands.”
So said the New Musical Herald about the French classical pianist who will perform n the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway, on Wednesday September 23 at 8pm. The concert programme will be Mozart's Variations K.573 'Duport'; Beethoven's Variations Op 34 in F major; Mendelsshon's Variations 'Sérieuses' Op 54; and Schubert's Sonata D 959 in A major.
Cassard has established an international reputation as concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, since his emergence in the 1980s.
