HOMETOWN, THE six-piece Irish boyband, who have enjoyed two No 1s with 'Where I Belong' and 'Cry For Help', play a 'Róisín Dubh presents...' concert at Seapoint Ballroom, Salthill, on Saturday September 26 at 7.30pm.
The group - Ryan McLoughlin, Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin, Josh Gray, Dean Gibbons, and Galwegian Brendan Murray - are managed by Louis Walsh. They made their debut appearance on The Late Late Show last year, and that November came their debut single, 'Where I Belong', co-written by Jamie Scott (One Direction ) and Irish band Kodaline. It reached No 1 and became both the fastest selling debut of 2014, and the fastest selling Irish record of 2014.
Hometown's first live concert was as special guests to Westlife's Shane Filan at The Marquee in front of 5,000 fans. They have since played The Childline Concert in Dublin and the Jingle Bell Ball, Belfast. The group released their second single, 'Cry For Help' in March this year and also saw it go to No 1.
"These boys have the talent and the drive," Louis Walsh said. "I am confident there is a gap in the market for them. I think they will have the same sort of career as Westlife and can be the next Take That. They have signed with Colin Barlow with RCA and he is the best in the business and already they are making waves in Ireland. They can all sing and I really believe they have what it takes to be the next big thing."
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
