The Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board is offering a diploma in multimedia this September at its media centre in Gort, Co Galway.
The City & Guilds diploma in multimedia is a full-time course aimed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge to enter an ever-growing industry, particularly in the west of Ireland. The designation of Galway as a UNESCO City of Film, the rich cinematic tradition in the west, and the strengthening emphasis on multimedia within the sector make this an ideal course for those entering this business.
Television, film, and radio are now heavily dependent on their social media presence for both promotion and audience participation. This course will incorporate all of the promotional elements required, from building websites as a platform for web and podcasting to using digital imaging techniques to create strong visual messages via social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
This course is ideal for anyone with an interest in TV and film, sound recording/engineering, design, and social media. All content is designed and delivered by industry professionals. The course is fully funded so no fees apply and training, travel, and accommodation allowances are paid to eligible candidates. The start date is September 28.
