The Alice Collective @ Róísín Dubh

THE ALICE Collective is an intriguing collection of artists and performers led by singer-songwriter Mary Cahir, and they will play the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh this Saturday at 9.30pm.

In collaboration with a group of like-minded musicians, songwriters and troubadours they have been creating an interesting mix of new material and re-interpreting well known classics that are delivered with a charm and an arrogance that is distinctive to Mary Cahir and the Alice Collective. The theory that “All Living Is a Collective Experience” lies at the core of the creative work of this exciting group of songwriters and performers.

The Alice Collective was sprung from a loose gathering of musicians who have been getting together for the monthly singer-songwriter sessions in Campbell’s Tavern, Headford. The show seeks to be subversive, humourous, and thought provoking.

The special guest at Saturday's show will be singer-songwriter/guitarist Kathrina Hughes. She is studying music at Maynooth University and is leaving Ireland to study in Germany for a year, so this will be her last gig in Ireland for some time. There will also be special guests on the night.

Admission is €10. See www.roisindubh.net
